Classes
Aziza teaches classes for all levels of dancers, from beginners to advanced. Aziza Fadwa’s depth and breadth of belly dance experience is unparalleled in the Triangle area. She has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching for nearly that long. While teaching belly dance as an art form, Aziza also teaches good body mechanics and alignment; these are critical for elegant presentation, protecting the body from injury and developing core strength. She teaches at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center in Cary, NC, and has monthly Workshops at the Ninth Street Dance Studio in Durham,NC.
Aziza’s yearly schedule:
WINTER SESSION: Aziza teaches a 12 week course divided into two parts; students may register for one or both. Learn and perfect beautiful basic Egyptian technique with personal attention from one of the Triangle’s most experienced teachers. Each class will consist of isolation warm-ups, combination drills, and a cool-down period. Enjoy working out while exploring your inner exoticism.
Part A teaches a multitude of useful traveling steps, while Part B covers extensive hipwork.
SUMMER SESSION: Aziza teaches an 8 week course divided into two parts; students may register for one or both. The June 4 week part will focus on Taqsem which is the slower and more graceful movements danced to a slower and gentler rhythms. The August 4 week part focuses primarily on learning how to use a veil from simple movements to fun veil tricks. Veils will be available for class use.
FALL SESSION: Aziza teaches a 12 week course divided into two parts; students may register for one or both. Learn and perfect beautiful basic Egyptian technique with personal attention from one of the Triangle’s most experienced teachers. Each class will consist of isolation warm-ups, combination drills, and a cool-down period. Enjoy working out while exploring your inner exoticism.

PS: NO experience is necessary!
PSS: You are more than welcome to retake classes for more practice, polishing and layering. You will always learn something new.
